The workspace · The plan

A plan you can see moving, 90 days at a time.

Set the year's objectives, give each initiative an owner and dates, and the workspace works out from the dates themselves whether it is on track, so the plan tells you where it stands without anyone having to say.

The Plan in the demo's invented business, Corliss Ridge Advisory: an objective to grow recurring revenue, with an initiative, its owner, its dates and its progress against what was expected.
A demonstration business, Corliss Ridge Advisory: the Plan

What you get

  • Objectives with a measure and a date

Tie an objective to one of your measures and a due date, so you will know whether you got there.

  • Initiatives with an owner

Each initiative has an owner from your team, a start and a due date, its progress and its milestones.

  • Status worked out, never picked

On track, at risk or delayed comes from progress set against how far through its dates an initiative is, so a stalled one cannot be marked green.

  • This week, on the Floor

Overdue milestones, what falls due in the next seven days, and the initiatives that are behind, listed where you start each day.

How it works

  1. Set the objectives

A few objectives for the year, each with a measure and a date.

  2. Add the initiatives

The work that moves each objective, with an owner, a start and a due date, and its milestones.

  3. Mark progress as it happens

Tick off milestones as they are done, and the status follows on its own.

  4. Review it every month

Where the plan stands goes into the monthly briefing and every meeting pack, so the review starts from the plan itself.
